Welcome to the era of the Hoosier Plains Conference

The Hoosier Plains Conference is Indiana’s newest high school athletic conference, slated to begin in the fall of 2020.

Created by six schools in Class 1A, the HPC will feature competition in 11 sports: boys and girls cross country, soccer, basketball and track; as well as baseball, softball and volleyball.

All six founding members — Argos, Bethany Christian, Career Academy South Bend, Elkhart Christian, Lakeland Christian and Trinity — are located within about an hour’s drive of one another in northern Indiana. None of them sponsor football.

“We already all play each other,” Argos athletic director Jon Alcorn told the Goshen News. “We’re all non-football schools. That kind of was a more natural fit.”

This website is not an official conference organ, but is being kept warm by an alumnus of one of the HPC schools so that the conference can have it if it desires.
